RADIO CONTROL HELICOPTERS - 2005/05
A REALLY COOL tool showed up in the mail this month. Paul
Beard of Model Avionics (www.modelavionics.com) sent out the
Watt’s Up, which is being advertised as an electronic onboard
power meter for electric-powered RC helicopters. It was designed to
help tune the battery system and motor. However, I have found
other good uses for this device.

AT ROUGHLY THIS time of year we begin to look for things to
do indoors. Christmas has passed, winter has finally set in, and cabin
fever isn’t too far off.
I think I have found the perfect machine to play with during the
times when the weather stops us from going outside. Model Rectifier
Corporation’s (MRC’s) new RTF Hirobo Electric XRB Sky Robo
R/C Mini Lama helicopter is just the ticket for curing the wintertime
blues. It gives you true RC, tether-free flying in the comfort of your
home. There are no cords to knot up or break!

Swash Plate: JR Vibe 90 3D Helicopter - 2008/03
3-D helicopter pilots
will be thrilled with
this “full-bling” model
ROUGHLY A YEAR ago I received the JR
Vibe from MA and Horizon Hobby for review.
Being a longtime Vigor pilot, I was excited to
see what changes had been made to the new
product.

WILL JAMES of HeliFreak.com
approached me last year and asked if I was
interested in reviewing a new helicopter from
Gohbee Aviation (www.gohbee.com). I am
always interested in anything new for our
hobby, so the answer was “Yes.”
Within a few days, a box containing the
Stinger 30 arrived on my doorstep from
Gohbee Aviation. This model is best
described as a combination of the Raptor
helicopter with the Caliber head. It was an
enjoyable aircraft, and you can read the full
review at www.helifreak.com.
