NEWS FROM COLORADO: The third
annual Warbirds Over Pikes Peak was held
May 14-15, 2003. Preston Hall of the host
club, the Pikes Peak Radio Control Club,
contributed the following:

NEWS FROM NEBRASKA: The
Nebraska Air National Guard held its open
house April 11, and one of the aircraft
‘imported’ to Lincoln for the event was a
Navy F/A-18A Hornet, ably piloted by Lt.
Kent ‘Vasco’ Leonard.

NEWS FROM KANSAS: Mark Smith of
the Shawnee Mission Radio Control Club
submitted the following letter:
“It’s very important to recognize club
members.
District IX Report - 2003/07
NEWS FROM Colorado: March 22, 2003,
the Sky Corral Radio Control (RC) Club of
Pueblo, Colorado, was invited to participate
in a static display of RC models at the
Pueblo Historical Aircraft Museum.
Fourteen members showed up with 21
models. This was the club’s first venture
with the museum, and they hope to
participate in more.
