Focus on Competition - 2004/06
IN MY APRIL column I wrote about the
current trend of complicated aircraft now
being available already built and the
situations created when a relatively
inexperienced modeler improperly installs
equipment in these models. I received a
few nice messages and phone calls on this
column. One came from a hobby shop
owner, and what he had to say is not
something new, but it does bring up some
good points that many newcomers may not
consider.
Nats 2003
THE 2003 NATIONAL Aeromodeling Championships, also known
as the Nats, is in the history books. When you look back at the Nats,
you think about what each one will be remembered for. I’d guess
that for those who participated in the first week this year, it will be
remembered as one of floods and personal tragedy.
Focus on Competition - 2003/11
IT’S CROSS-PROPOSAL time! The
proposals printed here are cross proposals
to the basic proposals already submitted
that have passed the initial vote. There are
not very many this go-around (that should
be considered a good thing).
Focus on Competition - 2004/05
IN THE PAST few months I’ve mentioned
and discussed Broadband Over Power Lines
(BPL) several times. Nothing has really
changed from an interference potential
standpoint, but the FCC has decided to issue
a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM)
on this issue. At this time we have no idea
what the NPRM will contain.
Technical Update - 2007/07
I PROMISED TO bring you an update on
the Electronic Technology Committee
(ETC) meeting that took place in April. I’m
going to share with you some (not all) of the
items we covered.
