District III - 2010/07
TRAVELING to represent the Academy is
sometimes impaired by Mother Nature. In
February, we traveled through a late winter
snow storm in order to reach an event in
Charleston, West Virginia. In April, we
traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland, for the
FAI meetings.
District III - 2008/09
LIN REICHEL, who was the commander of
the international Flying Aces Club (FAC),
passed away on June
12, 2008. He was
well known and
respected for his
leadership of those
around the globe
who pursued quality
craftsmanship and
good-natured
competition of Scale
FF model aircraft.
District III - 2010/08
THE JOHNSTOWN RC Club, which was
founded in 1962, held its annual mall show
at the Johnstown Galleria Mall on April 30
and May 1 and 2.

DOWAYNE GOULD provided the
following report on The Ohio Radio Kontrol
Society’s (TORKS) Heart of Ohio Pattern
Classic.

The new year is still in its infancy
and the Academy has been busy.
The FAA issue is paramount in
every modeler’s mind. AMA is spending
an unbelievable amount of time and
money on the problem. I am confident
that those involved have every member
of the Academy included in their
thoughts.
