THE FATHER of Associate Vice
President Joe Vislay passed away after a
long illness. To Joe, Sharon and the Vislay
family, the modelers of District III express
their sincere condolences.
District III - 2011/04
THIS YEAR, the Academy of Model
Aeronautics celebrates its 75th anniversary.
July 14-17 will be three days of festivities
at the International Aeromodeling Center in
Muncie, Indiana.
District III Report - 2010/06
FOUR CLUBS in District III shared the
prize for the 2010 Take off And Grow
(TAG) grants. Each club submitted its
application for program content and
evaluation.
The grants awarded were the Model
Aircraft Recreation Society of Mars,
Pennsylvania, $400; the Mad River Flying
Association of Urbana, Ohio, $350; the
Flying Tigers RC Model Club of Toledo,
Ohio, $200; and the Fairfield Ohio Radio
Kontrol Society in Lancaster, Ohio, $186.
District III - 2010/10
CONGRATULATIONS TO James
Bumbaugh who was recently a recipient of
the Charles Hampson Grant Scholarship. He
is a member of the Mars Airplane
Recreation Society and lives in Wexford,
