NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS: The Palos RC
Flying Club held its Scale Model Air Show
despite high winds and cool temperatures.
The show was quite a success with 40
participants from at least five area clubs.
District VI - 2008/07
EDINBURGH, INDIANA: The Johnson
County Radio Control Flyers held one of the
club’s fun fly-ins. The five events included a
closest-to-a-two-minute flight, spot landing,
egg drop, team-event Pony Express mail,
and a dice-roll flight.

DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS: Club
#279, the Woodland Aero Modelers, held an
open house and information opportunity.

MUNCIE, INDIANA: Dave Brown,
AMA’s president, presents awards to
members many times a year. I had the
pleasure of surprising him at a recent
Executive Council meeting.
AMA News District VI - 2009/02
LANSING, ILLINOIS: Club 723, the
Thorn Creek RC Club, sent in pictures from
its annual Dawn Patrol event. There were 15
pilots and 21 models, and all flew on a great
sunny day. This club is one of the Gold
Leader Clubs of the district.
