District VI - 2008/08
PEKIN, ILLINOIS: The Pekin R/C Club
held its 27th annual Big Bird Fly-in. There
were 32 pilots who attended, representing
many flying clubs. CD Gary Lenhardt held a
meeting before any flying began, stressing
safety and local flying rules.
District VI - 2011/05
SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI: Club #702,
the Lafayette Esquadrille Control Line club
members got together to clean and paint the
Speed circle at Buder Park. Louis Matustik,
one of the members, sent in some pictures of
the work in progress.

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI: Club #
1987, the Tri-Lakes RC Flying Club, did
something a little different and it turned out
to be a great day for the club members and
the audience.
District VI Report - 2003/09
PEKIN, ILLINOIS: The Pekin R/C Club,
#755, held an open house as part of the Pekin
Park District’s 100th anniversary celebration.
The club enlisted the services and equipment
of the AMA Air Show Team Lincolnland
Modelers to assist them with the day’s
activities, including demonstration flying and
putting kids on the sticks.
AMA News District VI - 2009/03
LEMONT, ILLLINOIS: Club #279, the
Woodland Aero Modelers, held its annual
open house. Mother Nature blessed the day
with blue skies and warm weather. Twenty
pilots and more than 40 aircraft were present
and eager to fly.
