Renew it for flying season - 2015/06
By the time you read this, most of you are already enjoying the first of the new flying season. Some of you are looking at things and trying to decide whether to replace them, trash them, or stick them on a shelf and forget it. I’m going to encourage you to look at those “outdated” flying machines with an eye toward how you can update them for the least amount of pain, expense, and energy.
Maxford USA Gotha G.IV - 2015/06
The Gotha G.IV heavy bomber was used by the Imperial German Air Service during World War I. Designed for long-range bombing, the G.IV was scheduled to go into service in March 1917, but faulty engine bearings kept it out of service until May 1917, when its bombing of London caused the most severe casualties of any bombing raid in the war.

With most of the country seeing the first of its spring flying weather, I thought it might be a good time to talk about some of the things relating to electric flight. If you’re a seasoned electric flier, this will be a review, but if you got that first electric airplane for Christmas, this will help you avoid confusion and mistakes—I hope!
