Exploring the joy of building - 201209
I began flying RC model airplanes when I was a boy, and at that time there were
few RTF aircraft on the market. The only viable option was to build my own.
I spent many hours building and repairing my airplanes while learning how to
fly. I soon found that I enjoyed building models as much as I enjoyed flying them,
and that the experience could be relaxing and rewarding.
Micro-Flying - 2010/11
ONE OF THE
biggest challenges
we face in
constructing and
designing a
micromodel is
keeping the weight
to a minimum. With
advances in battery
technology and
ultralightweight receivers and construction materials, we can build
models weighing only a few grams or less.
Fierce Competition at the Jr Indoor Festival - 2012/03
An indoor water runway and
separate areas for micro,
helicopter, and 3-D flying make
the JR Indoor Electric Festival event one
of the world’s best RC fun-fly events
to attend. Terry Nitsch and his hardworking
crews do a wonderful job of
organizing and running the event. Every
year I attend I am amazed by all of the
fascinating new models that are flown,
and the 2011 show was no exception.
