Big doings at the Kibbie Dome Annual. KIBBIE DOME 2005: Every “game” has
its big events that cultivate lots of local
activity; college football has the bowl games
and dogs have the Westminster Kennel Club
show. For Indoor FF on the west half of the
country, it’s the Kibbie Dome Annual in
Moscow, Idaho.

Free Flight Indoor - 2011/01

The 2010 F1D World Championships in
Belgrade, Serbia—oh, how bittersweet!
On the positive side, the US team (Brett
Sanborn, Steve Brown, and I) came away
with the individual Silver Medal and team
Gold. Our Juniors (Parker Tyson and
Curtis Wernette) finished with the
individual Bronze. The entire US
entourage represented our country well
and had a great time.

Free Flight Indoor - 2009/07

INDOOR FF is about programming your
creation’s flight profile and then letting it do
its thing. Rate of climb, maximum altitude,
circle diameter, stability versus drag, reaction
to varying torque, dynamic propeller
geometry changes, and extensible-motor
energy storage are a few of the parameters
that are within your control. A stopwatch
measures your success. This is aviation
purity.
