Small-Field Flying - 2011/04
BIG IS BEAUTIFUL. In the world of small-field models, large and
light can be a terrific combination. Bigger airplanes are easier to build
and much easier to see in flight. Throw in light, and you have an

winding down for many of us. Where does

A "SMALL" get-together in Arkansas
SMALL: A large gathering. Although it’s
not the largest assembly of aeromodeling
enthusiasts in terms of numbers, the annual
Small Model Airplane Lovers’ League
(SMALL) event in Little Rock, Arkansas, is huge in terms of the
spectrum of models and modelers present. Besides AMA’s Nats, there
are few, if any, fly-ins that include FF, CL, RC, and indoor aircraft.
