FOR THE PAST nine years, the
Blackhawk R/C Pilots, AMA chartered club
792, have sponsored E/xpo, an indoor
electric fly-in at the University of Northern
Iowa in Cedar Falls.

THIS IS NOT to be taken as a political
piece, but by the time you all read this you
will either have heard or read the results of
the last AMA presidential election.
For personal reasons Dave Brown,
outgoing AMA president, decided to not
seek reelection. Dave has been a part of
AMA for many years, as a competitor
winning many contests, as an associate vice
president (AVP), district vice president
(VP), and finally president.

field where you fly? Quite often, I’m sure.

THE PAST few months have been quite
interesting. I attended the Weak Signals show
in Toledo and spent some time with District
VII members discussing various issues.

IT IS TIME to remind people to not send
your sanction requests to me. Occasionally
I receive a few then I have to forward the
request to the proper contest coordinator.
This is where time is lost in getting the
sanction.
