District VII-2011/08
I HAVE OFTEN suggested to clubs that
they might think about getting involved in
their community. The reason for that is to let
the public know the clubs are in existence
and are a part of the community. This can be
helpful should the time come when a field
site might be in question.
District VII Report - 2003/08
I WANT TO take a minute to use this
column for an announcement. Bren Bailey,
an Associate Vice President (AVP) for the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan, has
submitted his resignation. Bren and his
family are moving to another part of
Michigan, therefore, he is resigning.
AMA News District VII - 2009/02
IN MY December 2008 column, I wrote that
no one builds anymore. It appears a few
people took that statement too literally and it
got a rise out of them. That was the reason I
wrote it, to get input.
District VII Report - 2004/08
TIM ROLIFF, president of the Flying
Electrons, Inc., asked if the following
information could be included in my column
as a possible inspiration to other clubs on
how they get involved in community affairs.
District VII - 2006/12
I had the distinct honor to be able to
present Hardy Brodersen the Model
Aviation Hall of Fame Award. This took
place at the Detroit Balsa Bugs meeting in
front of all of Hardy’s friends. Hardy has
been a member of AMA since 1936 and was
deeply involved in helping to set up
National Free Flight Society.
