NEAT was neat!
Electric flight continues to be an area of
unbelievable growth within aeromodeling.
This year’s NEAT—Northeast Electric
Aircraft Technology—fair allowed those
interested in the electric venue to showcase
their activity. Indoor flight is becoming
more practical.
The size and
detail included
in some of the
models is
mind-boggling.

District III Report - 2005/02

OUR INTREPID REPORTER, Les
Nessman, reporting from the Cincinnati
Silent Flyers, filed this story.
“Turkeys can fly—the non-winged
variety that is!
“On a blustery November 26, the
Cincinnati Silent Flyers held its annual
Turkey Fly. The event was started as a way
to get out and enjoy the fresh air, plus burn
off some of that excess poundage from the
previous (Thanksgiving) day.

District III - 2006/07

CLUB ICR: On Saturday, April 29, 2006, in
Russellton, Pennsylvania (20 minutes outside
of Pittsburgh), Club Indoor Camp Ronnie
(ICR) celebrated its grand opening with an
early evening flying session from 7 p.m. until
10 p.m. Local RC pilots came out for the
ceremonial e-powered flight session with an
additional 25 spectators who showed up to
watch the indoor flying festivities
