President's Perspective - 2012/06
A handful of modelers can
certainly make life miserable
for all of us. In March, one
modeler ew higher than the fullscale
airplanes on approach to a
major airport. Pilots in full-scale
aircraft noted this unsafe practice and
contacted the local control tower. The
FAA also took note of this occurrence.
At roughly the same time, a First-
District III Report - 2004/04
UNFORTUNATELY District III has lost
another valuable member. Eva Bittle
passed away on December 30, 2003, at age
83.
President's Perspective - 2012/05
Although our success with
Congress is apparent, we must
realize that additional effort may
be needed in order to continue to enjoy
model aviation. I hope that a positive
relationship with the FAA will allow this
to happen.
District III - 2006/05
THE CONTEST SEASON is about to
begin for most of us. If your club is planning
an event, please make sure your AMA
sanction has been obtained. The publicity
this sanction will provide will certainly
make your efforts worthwhile!
District III Report - 2009/12
ONE OF THE longest-running model and
full-scale air shows takes place every
Labor Day weekend at Burke Lakefront
Airport in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
Bernie Oldenburgh and the Cleveland
Aeromodeling Society have participated
and have generated a great focus on model
aviation for the past 34 years.
