District III - 2011/02
TWENTY-THREE entrants from Canada,
Connecticut, New York, Ohio, and
Pennsylvania recently competed at the Valley
R/C Model Club’s (VCRMC) 38th Annual
Competition Fun-Fly. The weekend had
excellent weather.

membership application and ballot in the
near future. Renewing your membership is
necessary; however, voting for the
Academy’s officers is more important. This
year’s election involves the office of
president. Please mark your ballot and
forward it to the proper address.

IF TURBINES fascinate you, August in the
Lebanon, Pennsylvania area is the place to
be. This year, the second annual Liberty Bell
Jet Rally will be August 2-3, at the Deck
Airport.
District III - 2006/01
THE CURTISS ROBIN FLIES AGAIN:
On June 4, 1935, Fred and Algene Key set
the flight endurance record in a Curtiss
Robin J-1 Deluxe aircraft. Their record
flight was 653 hours and 34 minutes. They
were refueled and received supplies in flight
452 times.
District III Report - 2009/09
ON SATURDAY, May 30, and Sunday,
May 31, the Jackson County Aeromodelers
of Cottageville, West Virginia, held a fly-in
entitled Wings Over West Virginia. The
event was held at the airport in Millwood,
West Virginia, which was an excellent venue.
