District II Report - 2004/10
THE ROCKLAND COUNTY Radio
Control Club (RCRC) of New York held its
second annual indoor air show and
exhibition at the Pascack Community
Center. RCRC member Al Betancourt
organized this event that included flying
demonstrations, a static display, and a Delta
Dart building program for the kids. The Dart
program culminated in an “all up, last
down” competition of nearly 60 Delta Darts
taking flight in the community center
gymnasium.
President’s Perspective - 2011/03
I’m sure the cover of this month’s MA got
your attention. That is the intent. The
question on the cover is reasonable for
model aviation enthusiasts to ask. The small
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS)
regulatory process continues to move forward,
and in a few short months the FAA will release
its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM)
detailing the proposed rule and opening the
subject for public comment.
District II Report - 2004/03
SEVERAL CLUBS in our district are
involved with introducing model aviation to
members of their communities, young and
old alike. Many include not only programs to
teach someone to fly but to build as well.
District II Report - 2004/11
As this month’s edition of Model Aviation
reaches your door, the annual AMA
District II Fly-In will be only a week or
two away. Things are coming together
nicely, and if we can catch a break with the
weather, it should be a great weekend.
President’s Perspective - 2009/10
It’s been a busy summer! The 13th FAI
World Championship for Model
Helicopters has just concluded and the
AMA staff is working hard to turn Site 4
around at the International Aeromodeling
Center (IAC) for the annual International
Radio Controlled Helicopter Association
(IRCHA) Jamboree.
