JS: How did you become involved with model aviation?
JP: As a toddler, my aunt/babysitter would take me on afternoon strolls to Tex Foster’s hobby shop in Richmond Hills, Queens, New York. There, I would gaze in awe at all the wondrous flying creations hanging from the ceiling.

The name Precision Aerobatics, or simply PA, is associated with a well-known manufacturer of lightweight, versatile electric-powered aircraft that are popular among devotees of 3-D flight. Although many may be familiar with the company’s popular line of aircraft such as the Addiction or the Ultimate AMR, you may not know that PA cut its teeth on Giant Scale aircraft.

The original 39.5-inch Precision Aerobatics Addiction caught my attention when it was released, thanks to its thoughtful design and attractive color scheme, combined with its capable flight characteristics. Add to that the fact that it was available in green, my favorite color, sealed the deal and I became the happy owner of a PA aircraft.
The Inside Loop - 2014/11
The AMA National Aeromodeling Championships celebrated its 88th year this summer. The Indoor portion was held at the Kibbie Dome at the University of Idaho. I had hoped it would again take place at the University of Illinois Track and Field Armory in Champaign, Illinois, so that I would be able to attend and compete as I did last year.
