AMA News District VIII - 2010/03
THE MARCH WINDS should be blowing
pretty hard while you read this. Flying time
is just around the corner and swap meets are
filling our shops with new (at least new to
us) creations to use in our attempt to fool
Mother Nature’s theory about gravitational
pull.
District VIII - 2012/09
Jack Matlock and I helped with
Camp AMA in June. While we
were supposed to be instructors, it
soon became apparent that some of
the students were or wanted to be
instructors, and most wanted to spend
time with the younger and betterknown
RJ Gritter and Nick Maxwell.

ELECTIONS are over and it seems you are
stuck with me for three more years! Thanks
for the support and the vote of confidence by
those who took the time to vote. There is a
lot facing AMA and I am eager to help
develop our future.

Jack Matlock and I attended the Austin
RC Association’s Big Bird 2012 event
in August. The weather was nice and
everyone had a good time.
AMA News District VIII - 2007/08
Auxiliary Field and despite threatening
weather, 34 pilots enjoyed a weekend of
flying and fun in Jerry’s memory. CDs
George Sheffield and Gary Rice ran a safe
and enjoyable event and the pilots and
spectators truly enjoyed themselves.
