District X Report - 2008/11
THE 2008 AMA Convention was by all
accounts a huge success. Attendance was up
from last year and attendees enjoyed
Southern California’s gorgeous weather. The
2008 event also saw the first-ever formal
associate vice president (AVP) training.

THE 2007 Cessna Aircraft Company/
Raytheon Missile Systems Student Design/
Build/Fly competition was held at the Tucson
International Modelplex Park (TIMPA) April
20-22. Fifty teams entered the event of which
36 teams came to Tucson and 18 made at
least one scoring flight attempt.
