CHARLES “CHUCK” HOLLINGER of
Costa Mesa, California, was inducted into
the Model
Aviation Hall
of Fame in
2006.
Unfortunately,
Chuck passed
away shortly
before he
could be
recognized for
this
achievement at
the 2007 AMA
Convention.

APRIL 22-23, members of the First
Weedwacker Aero Squadron again organized
an exceptional aeromodeling display at the
full-scale Gillespie Air Show in Santee,

THE DELTA VALLEY Modelers (DVM)
club celebrated the grand opening of its new
field on May 21, 2006. The flying site is
located on Farmington Road (Highway 4),
roughly three miles east of highway 99 in
Stockton, California.
District X Report - 2005/03
ON OCTOBER 25, 2004, the North Las
Vegas City Council and the Regional Parks
Department officially dedicated the 160-acre
regional park in North Las Vegas, Nevada, in
honor of the crew of the Space Shuttle
Columbia which was tragically lost on
February 1, 2003. More specifically, the Prop
Nuts RC Club’s and the Rebel Squadron’s
flying site within the park was named the
Willie C. McCool Memorial Model Air Field
in memory of copilot Willie McCool.
