NICK RIVALDO, from Long Beach,
California, won Best Military Aircraft and
Best of Show with his spectacular C-47.
Nick’s military version of the DC-3 spans a
huge 135 inches, weighs 49 pounds, and is
powered by two G-38s.
District XI - 2006/11

Ed, a really good bunch of guys, and a
philosophy that seems to exemplify
everything that is good about the hobby.

Voices From the Aeromodeling Community - 2011/05
WITHIN THE first two weeks of launching
our Congressional Awareness Campaign in
March, tens of thousands of AMA members
and model aviation supporters wrote more
than 80,000 individual letters to members of
Congress expressing their concern regarding
FAA’s intent to regulate model aircraft.
Undoubtedly, thousands more will be written
before this article goes to press.
District X - 2008/07
ON JANUARY 19, 2008, the Palomar RC
Flyers in San Diego County hosted Los
Caballeros, a youth group from North County
to educate and treat roughly 16 kids and their
chaperons to the joys of RC aircraft
modeling. John Sebastian hosted a class on
the construction and creation of RC models
and demonstrated how they are assembled
and how all the parts work together.
District X Report - 2003/08
MARCH 16, the California United Free
Flight Model Airplane Club (CUFFMAC)
held its annual awards banquet in Morrepark,
California. More than 30 representatives from
Free Flight clubs around the state met to
enjoy a great meal, catch up with old
acquaintances, and recognize their fellow
Free Flighters who excelled during the
previous year
