THE 28TH ANNUAL US Scale Masters
Championships (USSMA) was hosted by the
Hemet Model Masters (HMM) October 11-
14, 2007, in Hemet, California.
Located 75 miles east of Los Angeles in
Southern California’s Inland Empire, Hemet
is a progressive township with a population
of nearly 70,000 residents, many of whom
are retirees attracted to Hemet’s moderate
climate and friendly community.

firsthand look at some of the critical issues
facing District X flying sites.

and staff members gathered at the AMA
Convention in Pasadena, California, January
17-19. Members of the staff assisted in
staffing the District X booth, met with
modelers from around the district, and
attended administrative and educational
workshops.

report on the club’s annual Five Star Fly-in.
The Desert Wings RC Club is located in
Price, Utah, approximately 110 miles
southeast of Salt Lake City.
