District X Report - 2004/06
THE SPEEDWORLD R/C FLYERS’ 12th
Annual Winterfest was held January 17-18,
2004, in Surprise, Arizona. The following
article was submitted by Donald Rau, the
newsletter editor for the club.
AMA News: District X-2007/12
AMA’S Take off And Grow (TAG) program,
aimed at expanding and growing the hobby,
was test marketed in 2007. From all accounts
TAG was a huge success as AMA chartered
clubs across the country piloted the new
program. Given the encouraging results,
AMA is expanding and enhancing the
program for 2008.
District X - 2008/09
IN 1993, when I first took on the task of
representing District X, I never really gave
much thought to how long I’d serve. Quite
honestly I didn’t envision it being more than
a few years. Well, there’s certainly truth in
the adage “time flies when you’re having
fun.” Before I knew it 15 years had passed.

NOVEMBER 1-2, 2003, the Arizona Model
Pilots Society
(AMPS) of
Phoenix,
Arizona,
conducted its
first annual
Fall Festival
of Flight
Scale Fly-in.
The club’s president is Randy Lloyd and
Jerry “Jake” Orme CDed the event.
