The trip to AMA Expo 2015 was a bit unnerving. We flew into a Chicago blizzard and ended up spending most of the day in the airport, or seated in the airplane, while several deice operations were done before it was safe to take off for California. During takeoff, the airplane fishtailed and everyone went silent as it struggled to lift off the snow-covered runway. Fortunately, the rest of the Expo experience went very well.

Carl Vogel, a District I associate vice president (AVP) for more than a decade and the one I chose as my replacement, passed away in 2014. He was the best AVP anyone could ask for.
DISTRICT I - 2015/02
Because of the extraordinary efforts of Associate Vice President (AVP) Ray LaBonte of Ray & Robin’s Hobby Center in Falmouth, Maine, and the partnership he formed with Horizon Hobby, we were again treated to the 2014 Horizon Air Meet at the Maine Jet Rally air show extravaganza.
District I - 2015/01
