District I Report - 2009/09
CURRENT ECONOMIC and
employment conditions are factors
contributing to the decline of memberships
in association engaged in sports, hobbies,
and recreational activities. The AMA
recognizes that one way to combat
membership decline and ensure for the
future of aeromodeling is to introduce
young people to the sport and hobby of
model aviation.
District I Report - 2009/08
ON MARCH 29, 2009, I attended the Art
Alfano Scale Show at the Congregational
Church in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. I have
attended this event on several occasions and
each year it just gets better. This year Art
celebrates his 20th year of hosting this event
for his AMA club, the 495th R/C Squadron.
AMA News: District I-2007/02
IN THE PAST two years, the district
columns have covered nearly all the
popular aeromodeling activities and
events. However, one type of event will
treat your audio and visual senses to the
very best in air-show entertainment.
District I - 2009/07
IN THE MONTH of July, all AMA
members are invited as pilots or spectators,
to attend one or both of the events that are
being sponsored by AMA District I as
advertised in this column.
