AMA News: District I-2011/12

LAST MONTH’S column provided
suggestions on how to conduct multi-club
events. This month I will be writing about
district-sponsored events. With this year’s
flying season coming to an end, district
officers will be getting inquiries from clubs
seeking AMA district sponsorship for events
they would like to have next year.

AMA News-District I - 2009/01

GENERALLY, activity or event reports
that appear in this column are written by
district associate vice presidents (AVPs) or
myself after attending club or districtsponsored
events. With more than 125 clubs
in the district, many activities worthy of
publication may never get their deserved
recognition.

District I Report - 2012/06

During the flying season, this column
provides information and features
advertisements for a variety of
upcoming AMA district-sponsored
specialty and fun-fly events.
Last month’s column introduced two
specialty events. The New England
Aerotow event is over, but there is still
time to consider attending the 2012
International Miniature Aerobatic Club
event hosted by the Connecticut Model
Airplane Club on June 2 and 3. Details
were included in last month’s column.
The ads with this column describe a
specialty “Electric Only” event and a
“General Open Fun-Fly” event.
