Four months after opening the
new flying site in Catawba County,
the Catawba Valley R/Cer’s held a
fundraiser for its landowner, Sipe’s
Orchard Home. Since the 1940s,
Sipe’s Orchard Home has been a safe
and caring place for children.
District IV Report - 2007/11
THE PRINCE George’s County Radio
Control club (PGRC) held its 16th annual
Open House at its Bowie, Maryland, field
on Saturday May 12, 2007. The annual
event is held to increase community
awareness of the club and as a thank-you to
the surrounding neighborhood.
AMA News District IV - 2007/10
THE WEST HICKORY Aero Modelers
held its fifth annual Warbirds Over Wilson
Field in Hickory, North Carolina on June 2,
2007. The event was CDed by Mearle
Hickman. Approximately 30 pilots attended
with a variety of World War I and II
airplanes and even a turbine. The weather
was great and the food was served by the
Drowning Creek Fire Department. The usual
50-50 drawing increased the club’s coffer and
the winner’s pocket.
District IV - 2010/11
THE WINSTON SALEM Radio Control
(WSRC) club held its fourth annual Giant
Scale Fly-In at the club field in Mocksville,
North Carolina this past April. The
International Miniature Aircraft Association
(IMAA) event was CDed by Phil Vance.
District IV Report - 2004/07
THIS MONTH I want to congratulate all
the Leader Clubs that have attained this
status again and the new ones that have
reached this status.
